Five good reasons to join a group to read the Bible

The Bible is still the best selling book of all time but it is most likely not the most widely read today. This is unfortunate because even if you are dismissive about “religion” the Bible is one of the greatest works of literature ever made, and a foundational book of Western civilization. Don’t listen to what other people say about the Bible. Read it for yourself.

The Bible contains some of the greatest thoughts that have ever been thought which is why it has shaped our culture. Thoughts about the value of human life, the purpose of human life, freedom of choice, and what determines good and evil. If you are trying to understand life, it is full of ancient wisdom that still holds true today. You will find answers to many of your questions.

The Bible is a record of human experience and in the many accounts you will find yourself there. And you will see how God works through people and has never allowed knowledge of Him to be completely blotted out.

But the Bible is a large book, and sometimes seems difficult to fully understand which is why a group can be so helpful.

  1. A group will keep you going.
  2. A group will allow you to benefit from those who know it a little better.
  3. A group will give you somewhere to ask questions.
  4. A group will surprise you with new perspectives since not everyone thinks about things the same way.
  5. A group will build new relationships.

We are starting a small online group in January 2023 on Thursday nights at 7:30 AST. We would love to have you join us. You do not need to know anything about the Bible to join, you just need a desire to learn. If you do not have a Bible, contact us.
