Five claims the Bible makes about itself!

It is inspired by God.

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”  

2 Timothy 3:16,17

It is powerful and decisive.

“The word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword.”  

Hebrews 4: 12

It predicts what will come to pass.

“The prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Spirit”.  

2 Peter 1:21

It will remain forever.

“The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.” 

Isaiah 40:8

It offers hope of salvation.

Receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls”.  

James 1:21
