  • Who are we? The name "Christadelphian" simply means "brothers (and sisters) in Christ". We also use the name Brethren in Christ. We are a world-wide community of Bible students whose fellowship is based on a common understanding of the Scriptures and a shared commitment to Jesus Christ. We have no clergy and no central organization.

  • The Bible: We believe that the sixty-six books of the Bible are the inspired word of God, complete and sufficient to instruct us in the way of salvation (2 Timothy 3:16).

  • God and Jesus Christ: We believe in one God (the Father) and that the man Jesus Christ is the son of God, who was the fulfilment of the Old Testament promises and covenants of God with mankind, primarily the covenants with Eve, Abraham and David (Genesis 3:15; 17:4-8, 2 Samuel 7:12-14).

  • The Life of Jesus Christ: We believe that Jesus was tried and tempted as we are, yet resisted sin completely. He was crucified and died, but three days later, the Father, the only true God, raised him to eternal life, after which he ascended to his Father's side to await the appointed time of his return (Hebrews 4:15, Acts 3:15, 1 Peter 3:22 Acts 1:11).

  • Resurrection and the Kingdom of God: We embrace the hope of resurrection to eternal life at the return of Christ. There is no consciousness between death and the resurrection. At Christ's return to the earth, the kingdom of God will be established from Jerusalem, growing to encompass the whole world, offering freedom, hope and salvation to all humanity (Psalm 146:3-4, Isaiah 2:2-4).

  • Salvation: We believe that salvation is attained through faith in Christ. It is through faithful obedience that we are baptized into Christ for forgiveness of sins, and thereby participate in the promises to Abraham: to inherit the earth for ever. (John 3:3-5, Galatians 3:29).
